Real food! Yeah! But what comes first?
Introducing solid foods is quite an event, so where to start? Baby’s first foods should be rich in iron, since it’s so important for proper development.
Although simple cereals are a common place to start, the “correct” order to introduce foods has evolved throughout the years, so make sure you follow your pediatrician’s guidance and your baby’s preferences.
The main recommendation concerns cow’s milk, which should be introduced after the age of 9 months and be full fat (homogenized). The other recommendation is that foods should be added one by one, so you can spot if something doesn’t seem to agree with your child.
